How are minerals different from rocks?

A mineral is a naturally occurring, inorganic solid with a definite chemical composition and a crystalline structure formed by geological processes.
A rock is an aggregate of one or more mineralswhereas a rock may also include organic remains and mineraloids.

A mineral is a naturally occuring inorganic compound with a unique chemical structure and physical properties . A rock is a solid , stony mass composed of a combination of minerals as other organic compounds . For example __ quartz are minerals but when form together , they make a rock granite .
