A molecule is formed when two or more atoms join together chemically. If atoms combine that are of two or more different elements, we call that a compound. All compounds aremolecules, but not all molecules are compounds. When two hydrogen atoms combine with one oxygen atom, it becomes the compound water

elements occur naturally and molecules are formed when two or more elements react with each other. Elements have only one type of example: aluminium (Al), magnesium (Mg) and molecules have different types of atoms examples: ammonia(NH3) and ammonium(NH4).
