how are monsoon winds similar to and different from sea breezes?

Monsoon winds blow south west during summer season (in India) like sea breeze blows in a particular direction (from sea to land) during the day. but in winter the monsoon wind reverses it's direction from south west to north east just like the opposite of sea breeze (land breeze;from land to sea) during night.
