the non directional induced movements occurring due to turgor changes are called Nastic movements and these can be seen in the Touch Me Not plant which is scientifically called Mimosa pudica these movements show immediate response to stimulus however there is no growth involved the Nastic movements which occur in the plant of touch-me-not are Sigma Nastic movements because their response to touch these plant leaves fold up immediately and group on touching however they come back to the original state after sometime but the movement of curvature that respond to the directional stimulus called tropic movements occur in this plant in the form of phototropism in which it responds to illumination by a unidirectional light shoot Apex in it is the reason of photoreception and area of shoot elongation is the reason of response and sunlight acts as a stimulus so in Mimosa pudica shoot is positively phototrophic as it bends towards a direction of light where as root is negatively phototropic so the stomach grows when the growth movements occur in it in response to an external stimulus in which it it shows induced or paratonic moments however when it is touched no growth is involved so it is a Nastic Movement

The touch me not plant is also called chhui mui. It belongs to the Mimosa family. When we touch them, they begin to fold up and droop. The leaves of this plant move very quickly in response to touch. There is no growth involved in this movement.
