Each year the General Assembly elects 5 non-permanent members(out of 10 in total) for a two year term elected on regional basis. The body's presidency rotates among the members.
1. 5 for African and Asian countries.
2. 1 for eastern European countries.
3. 2 for Latin American and Caribbean countries.
4. 2 for Western European and other countries.
