These alveoli increase the surface area for gaseous exchange, making the process of respiration more efficient. The oxygen and co2 is transported by blood and o2 and co2 are transported to blood vy alveoli. the alveoli present in lungs.it is desinged in a spherical shape to maximise the exchange of gases.
