Answer:

Two more lines are parallel when they lie in the same plane and never intersect ....skew lines are lines that are in different planes and never intersect. the difference between parallel lines and skew line is parallel line lie in the same plane while skew lines lie in different planes

UNDERSTANDING:

Parallel lines are lines that lie on the same plane but never intersects!

Skew lines are those that lie on different planes and never intersects or be parallel. Thus, Skew lines are possible only in 3-d and above dimemsions!

Two lines are said to Skew if and only iff they are not coplanar.

Skew lines cannot be Parallel lines!

Even when we are asked to check whether the lines given are skew lines, we first prove that the lines are not parallel!

Summary:

  1. Parallel lines lie on same plane while skew lines lie on different planes.
  2. Neither Parallel Lines nor Skew Lines intersects each other.
  3. NO PARALLEL LINES ARE SKEWED AND NO SKEW LINES ARE PARALLEL.
