They play a major role in inculcating values in their children. Values are essential for a sound character and personality. But at times due to their sheer negligence a child lacks morally and ethically accepted values. The second major role is of a teacher. The teacher plays a very important role in the society and they are considered as nation builders, personality developers, guides, etc. But in the modern era, there are number of factors which are responsible for degradation of the status of teachers, for their poor performance and for the decline in the teaching values.
