how are particles in a liquid like people in a movie theater lobby

the particles in a liquid are not freely moving or scattered like the particles in gas. It is also not as tightly packed like the particles in solid. People in the theater lobby aren't so scattered like in gas nor tightly packed like in solid. That's why people in movie theatre lobby are compared with particles in liquid.
