Explanation:

To people in America a mosquito bite is just a little annoyance, But to people living in Africa it’s a life threatening experience. Malaria is a disease that left untreated will cause death. People that are infected with malaria have high fever, headache, severe chills, vomiting, and diarrhea. There have been more than 219 million reported cases of Malaria in africa. Because of this high rate of people having this disease doctors have been trying to find ways to lessen the amount of cases. Malaria comes from the Anopheles mosquitoes. This mosquito type only feeds at night. So, governments and health organizations are trying to keep people safe when they sleep. They are making sure people have sturdy mosquito nets. Mosquitoes that land on these nets are killed. This is because the nets are treated with insecticides. Doctors also are reminding people to take antimalarials—drugs that kill the parasites in the blood.  These are just a few ways that doctors are keeping people in Africa safe and alive.
