Hii friend,

Planets revolve around the sun on their orbit. Orbit is the imaginary path on which planets go round the sun. The gravitational force from the sun causes the planets to revolve around the sun. You might be wondering, why planets dont just get pulled, but they travel in a circular manner, this is because, the earth has a velocity in the direction perpendicular to the earth's pull. Just like that, even The moon revolve around the earth, due to the earth's gravitational force.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU :)

nikki62: The gravitational force of sun effects the planets.
sreedhar2: Bro.. i first checked your answer
Arvind1234: Yes it is true
Arvind1234: Ok sreedhar 2 its okay
Arvind1234: i dont mind better learn this here itself
sreedhar2: But i feel hers answer better bro... Dont mind
sreedhar2: Earth's pull means what? not gravitational force?
Arvind1234: Yes it is gravitational force

The planeta which are the smallest elements in the galaxy which are the arms for a star like sun
These planets revolve around a star due to some centrifugal and some oscillatory forces some people say it is sometimes due to gravitonal forces too.But I go with rotating forces.
The planets are stick to some particular parts called orbits which are invisible lines and the path is compulsory for any planet to revolve around the star.
