Animals inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. This is used by plants in the process of photosynthesis to prepare food. During this process, plants release oxygen which is used by human beings and animals. Thus animals and human beings help each other in the exchange of gases.

here's ur answer...
plants and animals depend on each other for maintaining the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, as we know that plants need carbon dioxide in the process of photosynthesis to prepare their food and release oxygen in day time. we take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide. the oxygen released by plants is used by us and plants take in carbon dioxide which is released by animals. hence, plants and animals help each other or depend on each other for maintaining the balance of oxygen and carbon oxide in air (atmosphere).
hope my answer is satisfactory...!!
