Interdependant means to rely on eachother for survival.

So, how do plants and animals rely on one another?

If you look at a simple food chain, there is a producer (plant), which is eaten by a consumer (animal), so that explains why animals are dependant (they need food, and if they are carnivores, they eat the hebivores/omnivores).

Plants are reliant on animals, because without Animals eating them, and then the animals decomposing, there is no nutrients in the soil for more plants to be sustained.

I'm not sure if that answers your question, but i hope so :)
