Plants are very much important for animal as they provide food, oxygen, different raw materials for industries, daily use materials. They maintain ecological functions like keeping earth cool, biogeochemical cycling, reproductive activity of animals. Thus they are very much essential for animals.

Animals also helps plants to maintain its life cycle. Many animals like honeybees, bats, flies, birds acts as pollinators for pollination process of plants. Many animals also helps in seed maturation and seed dispersal of plants like in xanthium plant. Thus animals are also essential for plants.

Both plants and animals are important for maintaining biodiversity and ecological interactions. Therefore synchronization of functions, made them interdependent on each other.
