Animal-like protists are called protozoa. Protozoa are single-celled eukaryotes that share some traits withanimals. Like animals, they can move, and they are heterotrophs. That means they eat things outside of themselves instead of producing their own food.

There are many things which are common in a protozoan and an animal cell-

They both are Eukaryotic.

They both have a cell membrane.

Any of them is not having a cell wall.

Any of them is not having large vacuoles.

None of them are rigid cells like the plant cells.

The two use Holozoic mode of nutrition.
