According the locomotary organelles, protozoa can be divided into four different classes. They are
- Sarcodina
- Mastigophora
- Cilliata
- Sporozoa
Sarcodina –This type of protozoa has the pseudopodia as a locomotary organ. Example: Amoeba.
Mastigophora- This type of protozoa has the flagella as a locomotary organs. There are different numbers of the flagella in different protozoa.
Clilliata-This group of protozoa has the Cillia as a locomotary organs.Cillia is a hair like structure.
Sporozoa- This type of protozoa has no locomotary organs.
