How are rainbows formed?out the answer in three or less lines

Rainbow are formed due to scattering of light.....Due to this phenomenon,A white light gets scattered into seven colors......same thing happen in sky.... Atmosphere acts as a scattering medium(for ex like prism) and it scatters the light into 7 colors..

A rainbow is metrological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, reflection and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky.
it takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.
