How are sense organs connected to the brain?

Different receptors. The central nervous system - CNS - in humans consists of the brain and spinal cord. When a receptor is stimulated, it sends a signal along the nerve cells - neurones - to the brain. The brain then co-ordinates the response.

Actually our Sense organs have long cells called neurons or nerve cells . The nerve cells are of three types Sensory neuron , Motor Neuron , Reflex neuron . When your sense organ senses something then it sends a electrical signal through the neurons to brain the neurons are not connected directly with each other there is a junction between the ending of one neuron and the beginning of another neuron . This junction is called as synapse junction . The sensory neurons are the nerves receing the signals first then the neurons present between Motor and Sensory neuron is Reflex neuron .
