1.if zero is after the Decimal point with after non zero digit it is significant figure eg0.057900 here 4 significant digits are there

2.if zero is before decimal then it is not significant 000.5678 here only 3 significant digits

3.all nonzero digits are significant for e.g 178.43

4.it zero is trapped between two nonzero digits are significant for e.g 165.02
