When greasy dirt is mixed with soapy water, the soap molecules arrange themselves into tiny clusters calledmicelles (pictured on the right). The water-loving (hydrophilic) part of thesoap molecules sticks to the water and points outwards, forming the outer surface of the micelle.

Answer:

When a cloth is immersed in soap solution, then the anion of soap encircles the oil(dirt) in a spherical shape in such a way that the end of hydrocarbon chain (tail) is towards the outer end, like thorns. This way, soap molecules from Michelle disperse in water. Thus a colloid is formed which on rubbing separate by flowing with the water current.
