Solution is clear, particle size is less than 1 nm, solute is completely soluble in solvent. ... Suspension is turbid, particles settle down after some time due to gravity. Particles insoluble in solvent. Large paticle size.

Sol = Solid + Liquid

The difference between a solution and a suspension is in the particle sizes involved. A solution is a mixture of ions or molecules (very, very small). Solutions are transparent, meaning that you can see through them. A suspension has bigger particle sizes and so it may look cloudy or murky.

Transcript of Solutions, Suspensions, and Colloids. One difference is a colloid can be in a solid but a suspension can't. One similarity is they can both be in liquids or gasses. A suspension is a mixture in which particles are more or less dispersed throughout a liquid or gas.

A sol is a colloidal solution suspension of very small solid particles in a continuous liquid medium. Sols are quite stable and show the Tyndall effect. Examples include blood, pigmented ink, cell fluids and paint. Artificial sols may be prepared by dispersion or condensation.

Hope this will help you.. ✌

SOL

Sol is one of type of collide in which disperse . phase is solid and dispersion medium is liquid

example: paste,ink

SOLUTION

solution is a homogeneous mixture which is made up of 2 or more components which can't be separated through process of filtration

example: air , sugar in water

SUSPENSION

suspension is mixture of solid and liquid in which solid particles doesn't dissolve in liquid.

example: sand in water
