Somaclones are those of spring plants which are genetically similar to the parent plant.

Such type of plants are produced from the method called micropropagation which is a type of tissue culture.

DIFFERENCE :

● the first difference between somaclones and somatic hybrids are that somaclones are genetically similar to the parent plant where is somatic hybrids are genetically different from the parent plants.

● second difference is the method of preparation of both. Somaclones are prepared by the method of micropropagation which is tissue culture where as somatic hybrids are produced by fusion of protoplast of two different plants.
