An ecosystem consists of both living and non-living components. The abiotic or the non-living components includes soil, water, light, inorganic substances. The biotic components of the ecosystem are the producers and the consumers.
And
The abiotic components also show dependence on biotic components. The decomposers make the soil nutritious by the process of decomposition. The decomposers like the saprophytic bacteria and fungi feed on organic dead and decayed matter and decompose them into simpler nutrients and inorganic matter.
