Clouds are formed by the condensation of water vapour .

Explanation:

We can understand the formation of clouds through the process of the water cycle .

Water cycle Cycling chain through which the water balance is maintained is known as water cycle or in other words the chain through which water from earth reaches t the atmosphere and comes back .

Phases of water cycle :-

1) Evaporation and transpiration

2) Condensation

3) Precipitation

4) Collection .

Note Clouds are formed in step two of the aforementioned phases .

1) Evaporation and transpiration :- The water evaporates from earth and reaches to the atmosphere in the form of vapour .

The excess water present in plant reaches to the atmosphere in the form of liquid .

The water vapour then cools down

2) Condensation :- The water vapour cools down and forms water molecule ( liquid water ) in the form of big water drops .When these water drops become heavier then the cloud is formed .
