a)Water cools and smothers the fire at the same time. It cools it so much that it can't burn anymore.Thats how Water is able to control fire .

b)Carbon dioxide covers the fire and cut-off the contact of oxygen and fuel. Thats how Carbon dioxide is able to control fire .

c)Flame blankets are nonflammable objects used to put out fires by lowering the amount of oxygen available in the air.Thats how Blanket is able to control fire .

d)Baking Soda – it releases carbon dioxide, which takes away the oxygen the flames need. Thats how Baking Soda is able to control fire .
