How are the functions of chloroplasts and mitochondria linked?

Is this answer correct?
The functions of chloroplasts and mitochondria are linked because they both perform complementary processes and are reactants of the other. The organelle chloroplast is the site of photosynthesis and produces the chemicals needed for cellular respiration. While the organelles mitochondria perform cellular respiration that produces the chemicals needed for photosynthesis.

Like mitochondria, chloroplasts produce food for their cells. Chloroplasts help turn sunlight into food that can be used by the cell, a process known as photosynthesis. Like the mitochondria, the chloroplast has an inner and outer membrane.
