How are the judges of the supreme court and the high courts appointed?

Every judge of the supreme court is appointed by the president of India in consultation with the judges of supreme court and of high courts ,besides the council of ministers. In case of appointment of a judge other than the chief justice of India , the chief justice of India shall be consultated. Other judges of High court is appointed by the president .The president shall consult the chief justice, the governor of the state and chief justice of high court
