<b><i><u>Hey mate

In the lungs the bronchioles terminate in balloon like structure called alveoli.the alveoli contains network of blood cappilaries that increase the surface area for exchange of gases. Lungs are divided into smaller components called alveolar sacs where the major process of gas exchange takes place.

→→Within the lungs, the air passage divides into smaller and smaller tubes which finally terminate in balloon like structures called alveoli. The alveoli provide a surface where the exchange of gases can take place.
