PTERIDOPHYTES GAMETOPHYTE- Gametophyte development is exosporic.. Gametophyte is independent of sporophyte plant body..gametophyte called as prothallus...prothallus grow separately from main pant body on soil and can perform photosynthesis according to need therefore can live freely...
GYMNOSPERM GAMETOPHYTE-
highly reduced gametophyte is formed...
gametophyte can not live freely..endospermic development...
no prothallus formation occur in gymnosperm...

Answer:

hey mate here is your answer...

Explanation:

▶️ Male Gametophyte:- Male Gametophyte of pteridophytes develops a large number of flagellate sperms while that of gymnosperm produces two nonflagellate sperms. A pollen tube is formed in gymnosperm which is absent in pteridophytes.

▶️ Female Gametophyte:- Female Gametophyte of pteridophytes lives independently while in gymnosperm it developes inside megasporangium. Fertilization requires water in pteridophytes. It is not needed in gymnosperm.

Hope it helps!!☺️
