Mostly the Indian sub-continent is characterised by a great diversity in its physical features which are further divided into:
-The Himalayas & the associated mountain chains,The Peninsular plateau e.t.c
The Himalayas mountain belt to the North & the Nagalushai mountains in the east are the regions & its movement are mostly affected by the relief of the earth in the last phase of its physical history.
The Penisular plateau, on the other hand,is an old mass of the earth's crust worn down by continuing consequence,the Plateau has acquired the look of old age.
