Rivers in the plateau regions result in waterfalls & mostly forms structures as valleys, the rivers are not continuous & definite in their flow. They also contains more amount of rocky materials as they travel.
Whereas in the plains the rivers flow more continuously & carry out fine alluvial soil along with them which is considered very fertile for agricultural purposes.
