services are intangible.this means that they can not be touched or have a physical appearance
products are tangible . it means they have a physical appearance
for example you may touch a telephone but u cannot touch the service of communication which is provided by it

The basic and most fundamental difference between a product and a service is that, you can touch and see a product whereas a service can only be experienced.
For example: You may be able to touch and see a box of chocolates(a product) but you can only experience a massage(a service.)
