Because they are well trained. In combat for me at least your training will take over and you will know what to do. There is so much going on and your body will start reacting on its own, responding the way you do in training. There’s an old saying “train how you fight, fight as you train”. Prior to Iraq I use to kinda laugh when I heard it but after being there I realized if there's no other lesson to teach new soldiers its that one. If you are lazy and sloppy in training you will be the same in combat and lazy and sloppy is a danger to you and everyone else who matters.
