History holds immense importance in our lives. Preserving history is securing the history in order to look back into the cultural values of our society. 


Sources of history such as architecture and manuscripts can be preserved in the following ways: 


(i) Spread Awareness: The most important way to preserve sources of history is to spread awareness about the historic importance of the architecture and scriptures etc. By this method people may be able to volunteer in the preservation. 


(ii) Conduct Research: Research of historical resources would not only help discover new sources but also preserve older ones. 


(iii) Establish Museums: Museums can preserve and portray the historical resources. 


(iv)  Conduct Workshops: Workshops can be held among people on how to conduct research and lead preservation projects.


(v) Influence Government: Government can fund preservation projects. Influencing them is very important. 


(vi) Establish Preservation Department: A government of the country must establish a governmental depart that takes care of the preservation of historical sources. It must fund projects and lead them too. 


(vii) Donate in the Field: People who give importance to history and know its significance must donate for the preservation projects etc. 


(viii) Initiate Event: Events related to preservation must be conducted in order to motivate people to work for the preservation. 


(ix) Encourage Students: Students of history and architecture should visit these sites in order to increase their interest in preservation of the sites etc. 


(x) Create Volunteers: Volunteer groups can conduct research and preservation project and even become sources of motivation.
