How are the sources of rainfall in northwest part of india different from rainfall experienced in the coastal areas of eastern india in winter?

The Northern part of India experience rainfall from monsoon wind of western disturbances arised from Mediterranean sea WHILE coastal areas of Eastern India experience rainfall from the cyclone arised from Indian ocean, Bay of Bengal.
