When sunlight is strong the stomata are widely open for absorbing sunlight for photosynthesis. But during the process due to strong sunlight water evaporates from leaves by transpiration released out from stomata . Actually transpiration takes place when intensity of sunlight is strong.

SUN is directly propotional to temerature and since increase in temperature causes more water to evaporate from surface of leaves hence increases rate of transpiration. it reduces the temp of leaves and prevent photoxidation by sun light.
