the wave velocity is the total displacement of wave which is wavelength per time period

so the equation we have:

wave \:velocity \: = \frac{wavelength}{time \:period}

 T= \frac{W}{T}

 (but \frac{1}{T} \: =f )

T=W×F

so wave velocity is the product of wavelength and frequency
