Wavelength and frequency have a direct relationship. ... The shorter the wavelength, the higher the frequency. The speed of a sound wave is related to the density, elasticity and temperature of the medium it's traveling through. Sound travels through air at around 343 m/s at sea level.

Speed = distance / time

Hence,

Wavespeed =wavelength/time period

V=£/t

V=£×1/t

We know that 1/t=f( frequency)

V=£f

Both frequency and wavelength are directly proportional to wave speed
