All of us know that its our brain which creates thoughts,but what we actually need to dwell upon is that,its our own thinking that shapes up our brains too.

How would you know that you are prisoner of your own thoughts?Here are a few things that I figured out.If you often feel any of them,then its time for you to break free from your own prison of thoughts

Obsessively dwelling upon some unpleasant event that has happened in the past

Quickly jumping to conclusions

Taking blame for something which was not in your control

Always doubting your own decisions

Seeing the worst in any situation

Having the “why does it happen only to me “ attitude

Now coming to the second part of your question,how do we break free from them?

Stop thinking and start doing something.Always keep busy as it was correctly said,that an “empty brain is devil’s workshop”.Indulge in a hobby,learn something new or try helping out a loved one in their work.

Believe that its very human to be wrong,its not necessary that you have to be correct all the time.Also there is nothing wrong in being imperfect.

Quiet your mind with meditation . It is strongly believed that the best way to master your brain and gain control over your thoughts is through meditation.
