High yielding variety seeds (HYV) are the seeds produced by the genetically enhanced high yield varieties. Traditional seeds are the seeds produced by the varieties grown for a long time period without modifying or enhancing the characteristics of the plant. The key difference between HYV seeds and traditional seeds is that HYV seeds produce higher yielding varieties with better quality and environmental adoption while traditional seeds produce lower yielding varieties with normal quality and less environmental tolerance

Answer:

Hyv seeds are better than Traditional seeds.

Explanation:

The reason behind this is simple. HYV stands for High Yeilding Variety seeds, this simply translates to that these seeds have the desirable traits in them that produces a good crop. This means that the plants produce more while they consume less. They also have a good defence against any pathogens. The grain size in HYV seeds is also large. So these seeds have an upper hand on Traditonal Seeds.

On the other hand, traditional seeds are highly probe against pathigens. These plants consume more and produce less, causing them to be completely useless. The grain size in Traditional seeds are also small.

So growing with traditional seeds is completely useless and would result in losses, while growing HYV seeds is a huge profit.

Hence HVY seeds are better over Traditoonal seeds.
