How are ultrasonic sound waves used to detect cracks in objects?

here is your answer

the ultrasonic waves are allowed to pass through objects which are fitted detected to detect the waves . if the object has a crack , then the ultrasonic waves are reflected from such spots .
the reflected wave is used to detect cracks.
