How are valleys carved by running water and valleys carved by glaciers similar? how are they different?

Glaciers are "river of ice" which too erode the landscapes by bulldozing soil and stone to expose the solid rock below. Glaciers carve out deep hollow there.As the ice melt they get filled up with water and become beutiful lake in mountain.
In running water erosion and deposition of the waves give rise to coastal landforms.Waves continuously strike at the rocks. Crack develop. Over time they become larger and wider. This,hollow like caves formed on rock.
