The biggest difference between viruses and bacteria is that viruses must have a living host - like a plant or animal-to multiply, while most bacteria can grow on non-living surfaces. There are some useful bacteria but all viruses are harmful. Antibiotics can kill bacteria but not viruses.

Hope it helps :)

Viruses are different from other microorganisms because the viruses pass the characteristics of both living and nonliving organisms ... we are connecting link between living and nonliving organisms ... even antibiotics can't kill viruses .... the react as non-living things until and unless they are in contact with the living organism ...!!
