Wastes are classified into biodegradable waste and non biodegradable waste on the basis of their ability or inability to break down into simpler substances
Biodegradable waste:
These wastes can be easily broken down by natural decomposers like bacteria.
Examples: vegetable peels etc..
Non biodegradable waste :
These wastes cannot be broken down by natural decomposers like bacteria. And it takes a long period of time to decompose.
Example: plastic etc...

The wastes are classified into two groups. They are Biodegradable waste and non-Biodegradable waste.

1) Biodegradable waste:
_____________________

This kind of waste can be broken down into simple organic molecules like carbon dioxide, water, methen etc with the help of natural Decomposers.

Eg.

Food waste:The waste food of household including rotton fruits, vegetable etc

Paper: We use lots of paper for our study, work etc. They become useless to us after using.

Sewage: It is a kind of water carried waste that contains human waste.

2) Non-Biodegradable:
____________________

This kind of waste can not be broken into simple organic molecules with the help of natural Decomposers.

This type of waste is the main reasons for pollution as they remain unchanged for a long period of time.

Eg.

Plastic products: Plastic bag,Water bottles, plastic toys etc

E.Waste: Broken cell phone,tv,CD etc.

Hope it helps.
