How are water and minerals transported in plants ?

\bf\huge\underline\blue{Answer}

Vessels and tracheids in xylem tissue of root, stem and leaves are interconnected to form the continuous water conducting channel reaching all parts of plant. The cells of root which are in contact of soil activity take up ions. To eliminate the concentration difference between root and soil, water moves into root from the soil. Evaporation of water molecules from the cells of a leaf called transpiration creats a suction, which pulls water from the xylem cells of roots. Thus, the transportation helps in absorption and upward movement of water and minerals from root to the leaves.
