Most of the water animals have tails and fins to swim in the water whereas birds have wings to fly in the sky.

The water animals have gills to get oxygen and birds has lungs.

The water animals are adapted to live in the liquid and are conditioned in a way to live and cannot survive without water except that of alligators.

Whereas birds are more free to live in the air and on trees they make nest to rest.
