How are we able to break the wire by repeated bending?

When a metal is repeatedly bent at a perticular site, it suffers a phenomenon knows as metal fatigue. A metal suffering metal fatigue breaks down because it losses its elastic which result in microscope cracks to be developed in the metal and it becomes brittle.
