When you place a straw in the juice, the air above the glass as well as inside the straw is exerting air pressure on the surface of the juice and when you suck the air from the straw, the air pressure inside the straw decreases. The atmospheric pressure acting on the juice is still the same and more than the pressure inside the straw,so it forces the juice to move up into the straw which then reaches into your mouth. That is how you are able to drink it.
