We are dependent on many people in our lives. First and foremost, our parents give us birth and tecah us the basics of life. We build our character, learn ethics and values from them.
Secondly, our siblings teach us to share and care for each other in all sorts of circumstances.
Thirdly, we learn knowledge from our teachers who nourish ourselves so that we learn to survive on our own in the future.
Our friends teach us to stand by each other in most difficult of times.
Lastly, we learn companionship from our spouse.
So, as human beings we actually are dependent on different people for different motives.
