During 19th century in Europe, the aristocrats of the continent were dominated all across the world. They had lavish lifestyle mostly in common.

In the countryside, they owned huge estates, and some had large town house as well. Their mother language was French, both in high society and in diplomatic circles. Most aristocratic families are connected with marriages.

A small group was formed by the aristocrats, but they held a lot of power. The peasantry included the larger population group. To the west, small owners and tenants farmed most of the land. In Eastern and Central Europe, vast estates cultivated by serfs characterized the land holding pattern.

Industrial production and trade were on the rise in Western and some part of Central Europe and commercial classes emerged with them. Their existence was based on the market's production. In 1850s, France gave birth to industrialization in England, and Germany experienced it only in the 19th century. Industrialization is the reason of rise of middle-class social groups.
